These disposable air filters are designed to protect furnaces and central air units in residential and light commercial applications. They function without a retainer by adhering the frame directly to the media, which has a light skin.^^Designed to Last^Their one-piece frames are made from heavy chipboard to eliminate corner separation. The filtering media inside the frames is made from continuous filament spun glass.^^Sealing is accomplished with a resinous hot-melt bonding agent. This bond runs the full perimeter of the frame’s upstream and downstream sides to provide rigidity and resistance to media compression.^^Tested for Quality^These filters have been tested by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. and are classified as UL 900 Class 2 for flammability. Their UL marking appears on the frame. Complementing their UL listing is their MERV 4 rating.
